The idea behind this special tour is to have drivers aware of your needs, knowing that they will leave the accomodation once more after dinner, once the last sunrays left in the evening.

As this region in southern Bolivia is located bewteen 3660 and 5000m altitude above sea level, the population density is as low as 0.3 inhabitants per 100 square kilometers, and the thermometer can reach -30°C by night, you have the conditions united for the best star skies on earth: Dry, cold air with 4000m atmosphere less than at sea level and most importantly almost no light pollution.

You can see with the naked eye the small and big Magellan cloud (galaxies caught in the gravitational field of our own milky way), and all the constallations of the southern hemisphere, among which the southern cross, the centaur, Canis Major, eagle, Lyre, etc...

Ask for a teleobjective if you can't bring yours along !
