EL SALAR DE UYUNI

Following the info we have from the Eduardo Avaroa national park there are over 70 bird species that can be seen in the area. Not too bad when considering the fact that the region is a desert ! Of course the flagship bird species are the 3 different Flamingo species. As for the Flamingos, many species can easily be observed close to the many lagoons. It is up to you whether you want to visit the region with your Bird book and previous knowledge, or whether you want to be accompanied by a guide specialized in ornithology.
